The Smart Agriculture track explores how artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and data-driven innovation are transforming agricultural and food systems across Africa and other emerging economies. From precision farming and intelligent sensing to digital marketplaces and AI-powered decision support, this track examines how technology can improve productivity, resilience, sustainability, and food security across the agricultural value chain. We particularly encourage submissions that address the practical realities of both smallholder and commercial farming while advancing inclusive, ethical, and locally relevant digital transformation. Submissions are invited that address any or a combination of the following research questions:
How can precision agriculture technologies improve agricultural productivity and resilience in diverse farming contexts?
How does artificial intelligence enable more effective agricultural decision-making across the farming value chain?
How can IoT-enabled sensing and automation transform agricultural operations and resource management?
How can digital technologies strengthen the efficiency, transparency, and resilience of agricultural value chains?
How can digital innovation enhance the sustainability and resilience of agricultural and food systems?
How does digital innovation promote inclusive participation and equitable outcomes for farming communities?
How can governance and policy frameworks enable the responsible adoption of smart agriculture technologies?
How can emerging digital technologies reshape the future of intelligent and sustainable agriculture?
